The title of my post is what comes to mind every time I think about Carla Pennington. During "The Available Wife 1 & 2" she webbed a tale so great that I found myself up late nights (although I'm a night owl anyways lol) reading, wondering what's gonna happen next. And with this new novel, she most certainly didn't disappoint. When introduced to Myles, I instantly became sick to my stomach. Who would wanna marry a bastard as he? I found myself trying my hardest to figure out his address so I could murder him for the weak character named Kenya. Throughout the entire novel, my hatred for Myles grew. He will go down in history as "My Most Hated Character". I've never hated a character as much as I despised this man, and I don't believe I will ever find a character to match him.The twists and turns in this novel threw me for a look and I felt myself grasping for air as the unexplainable was explained. This novel brought out so many different emotions in me, and EVERYONE needs a best friend like Jada. I loved her the most out of all the characters and hopefully the author will give her a stand alone novel.
Although the novel didn't end the way I fantasized that it would, I was still impressed with the ending and now I'm impatiently waiting for the next tale from Ms. Carla Pennington.
Without questioning, I 100% recommend this book to everyone. It's fast-paced, funny, dramaful, erotic, suspenseful, and then some. All of the ingredients, in my opinion, to make a WINNER!

I really enjoyed this book. There were so many twist and turns at end that I didn't see coming. Myles, is the fast talking money hungry man. He is selfish to no end. Myles has woven a web of deception and will do anything to keep his secrets hidden. Kenya, the loving devoted wife. She has no clue what she is in for when all of Myles' skeletons come crashing out the closet. This book had maybe two errors but nothing to take away from the story. The ending of the book will have you on pins and needles. So many secrets revealed that changes the characters lives. Everyone is not who they say they are in this book. I recommend reading it.
I absolutely loved this book and it had some interesting twists and surprises. The book centers around Kenya and her husband Myles. Kenya's marriage is spiraling out of control and she can't understand why? She has been doing everything since day one to be the perfect wife. But unbeknownst to her, Myles is leading a double life. As Kenya begins to deep digger to understand what is happening around her, she discovers some startling revelations as to who Myles really is?? Follow these two on a roller coaster ride of events and see who will get theirs in the end. Kudos to the author for great character development with all the characters in the book. BUY IT because you will not be disappointed.
This was a good book and the first one that I have read by this author. I do intend to read more. Mason, Myles, Maverick, Trey or whatever his name was is a character. He was cold blooded and didn't care about how he treated women and sadly enough, there are men like him out here. I thought that Julius was a good guy but he also proved to be shady. I was beginning to think he really care about Kenya but was shocked to learn about his connection to Mason, Myles, Maverick, Trey. I was happy that Kenya got her baby back. In the end how about Dylan and Camilla? I was happy that Brooklyn and her father reunited. I didn't want to put this book down. Good job to this author.
If there was a book that deserves more then 5 stars, this is it. Myles, Maverick, etc.. whatever he calls himself was a hot mess. Lies, murder, deceit, kidnapping, you name the crime and he would do it. Kenya was to naive for her own good and keep blinders on until it was to late. Jada was the bomb, I love her no nonsense attitude and brash opinions about everything. Jada was sassy, bold and fearless. Camilla was business smart, but love stupid. An older woman seeking love in all the wrong pair of pants. Brooklyn was a scared little girl, with daddy issues. Kenya wanted so bad the perfect family, but her low self esteem was her biggest issue, besides Myles. I love her true secret at the end of the book. And boy was I shocked by it. I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AS WELL AS ALL CARLA PENNINGTON BOOKS. This book is so filled with drama and characters who are going left and right at the same time, that is builds up and burst at the seams.
Myles/Maverick was a trip! I literally enjoyed this character to the fullest. Carla Pennington's books never disappoint as her protagonist have their own brand of crazy and I love it . If your going to make someone the villain let them be as bad as can be and Myles was that. I honestly loved Jada and Kenya friendship and was choking back tears***SPOILER** as I read the hospital scene ,but I so wanted Kenya to get some damn common sense and wished she had gotten the wake up call sooner ,but finally she woke up and read the bank statements! I mean literally. The other subplots were also enjoyable as each character had their own identity. The love scenes were what they were we all know underneath Myles man whore behavior's he had some real issues but I honestly could not hate Myles as I felt that these women overlooked a lot of red flags for the sake of having a man. The blatant asking for money he did with Camille floored me @ times but I was like hey maybe I am just different. I am from the 50/50 school of finances when it comes to relationships. The story carried out like a lifetime move but definitely more steamier. Carla's main characters are always impulsive and while reading her stories like the Available Wife 1 and 2 I am usually floored by their actions then I wonder if I could get away with it I probably would do the same. Again I am the person that loves a good bad guy Myles at times was funny and then at the turn of a hat he could be so cold that along with the twists and turns and lies made for a hell of a read I am a STAN this author can write on a napkin and I will buy her work she is consistent and that is a rarity as anyone can publish literary garbage these days with recycled plots and overdone plots. This work was a breath of fresh air and I will stalk for a possible sequel with Dylan and Camille.
